Jauch will discuss the committee’s work with Joy Cardin
On Wednesday, January 30th from 7:00 to 7:30 a.m., State Senator Bob Jauch (D-Poplar) will be a guest on Wisconsin Public Radio with Joy Cardin to discuss tax fairness.
Jauch was invited to take part in the program as the Chair of the Senate Tax Fairness and Family Prosperity Committee, which has been evaluating corporate tax avoidance techniques and other tax equity issues in the state.
Jauch’s half-hour participation will be followed by an interview with national expert on state and local corporate taxation Michael Mazerov, Senior Fellow with the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities, which is one of the nation’s most reputable public policy organizations and a major credible resource for national and state issues. Mr. Mazerov will discuss his work with Ms. Cardin from 7:30 to 8:00 a.m.
Mr. Mazerov is also scheduled to testify later that morning in an informational hearing of the Tax Fairness and Family Prosperity Committee on his extensive research of corporate tax practices designed to minimize or avoid payment of state taxes.
